Six months ago...
I gave my 2 weeks notice at the carwash back in October. It felt mildly good. They cut my hours, so I had to look elsewhere. I now work for FedEx. I make about the same as the carwash when I was working 25 hours a week, but I have better hours and a much shorter commute. I have three kids now. My youngest started preschool in January, so my being home during the day is best scenario in a number of ways.

Murphy's Law
So I got a part-time job at a car wash. Every time I went for an interview it either rained or snowed. Now that I'm hired and getting trained, it's rained or snowed. My position is new to the location I am employed, and I was told on slower days I could expect to be asked not to come in if the place was slow.
It will take my body a while to adjust to the work, so I'm not in any hurry to get mad hours. I just have to keep myself in check and enjoy life as events unfold.

Teaching Info Literacy
Got word the other day that I will teach something worthwhile with regards to my master's degree.
Librarians in academic settings teach information literacy, so teaching at a occupational college a class by such name will add to my professional experience within my field.
Just have to create lesson plans and other odds and ends, and I am set for day one.
Gotta have a job to get experience that counts. I'm 1/10th of the way to my goal of getting back into full-time employment.

A job is better than nothing
Second interview was a presentation exhibiting my teaching presence. I didn't completely bomb for I got a class to teach.
Had orientation earlier this week, but I still need a few details before Monday when the class starts.
Should be interesting. Never made lesson plans, tests, or homework assignments. You'd would think I'd be scared about standing and lecturing for 4 hours, but I've subbed enough that I can do that as long as I have an outline of what I will be covering.
Should still be able to obtain unemployment since I'm part-time and under my weekly benefit allotment, so actual hourly pay rate is a moot point at the moment.
